About

In the digital age, intellectual property theft is rampant. The Watermark Adder is a production-grade utility designed for photographers, digital artists, and real estate professionals who require robust attribution on their assets. Unlike basic editors, this tool employs Smart Relative Scaling and Pattern Tiling to ensure consistent branding across mixed-resolution batches.

Standard watermarking fails when applied to a batch containing both 4K raw photos and web-optimized thumbnails; a static pixel size would obliterate the thumbnail while remaining invisible on the 4K image. This engine calculates watermark dimensions as a function of the target image's width (Wimg), ensuring the ratio WwmWimg remains constant.

Formulas

The tool uses an adaptive rendering pipeline. The watermark size (S) is calculated dynamically per image:

{
Stext = Wimg × kscale (for text)Slogo = min(Wimg, Himg) × kscale (for images)

Where kscale is the user-defined percentage coefficient. For tiled patterns, the repetition coordinate matrix M is generated by:

xi = x0 + i × (wwm + gpad)

yj = y0 + j × (hwm + gpad)

Frequently Asked Questions

The preview canvas is visually scaled down to fit your screen. However, the processing engine operates on the full native resolution of your image. Since we use Relative Scaling, the proportions will remain mathematically identical, ensuring the high-resolution output matches the preview's ratio.
When the HTML5 Canvas creates a new image blob, browser security protocols typically generate a fresh file container, which often excludes original metadata (EXIF/IPTC). If strict metadata preservation is critical for legal reasons, we recommend watermarking a copy and retaining the original RAW files for proof of ownership.
A single watermark in a corner can be easily cropped out or healed using AI tools. Tile Mode creates a repeated diagonal pattern covering the entire surface (Conceptually: Infinite Plane coverage). This makes removal extremely difficult without destroying the underlying image content.
Since processing happens entirely on your device's GPU/CPU (Client-Side), the limit depends on your available RAM. Modern browsers can typically handle batches of 50-100 high-res (20MB+) images seamlessly. If the tab crashes, try processing in smaller batches of 20.
