Tag Cloud Generator
Visualize text data by creating a weighted word cloud. Features multi-language stop-word filtering, custom color palettes, and high-resolution export options.
About
A Tag Cloud (or Word Cloud) is a visual representation of text data, typically used to depict keyword metadata on websites, or to visualize free form text. Tags are usually single words, and the importance of each tag is shown with font size or color. This format is useful for quickly perceiving the most prominent terms and for locating a term alphabetically to determine its relative prominence.
This tool allows content creators, marketers, and data analysts to instantly turn raw text into a professional graphic. Unlike basic generators, this tool includes a comprehensive database of stop-words (common words like 'the', 'is', 'at') across 10 major languages to ensure your cloud highlights only the meaningful concepts.
Formulas
The sizing logic follows a linear normalization based on word frequency:
- Step 1. Tokenize text and count occurrences: Count(w).
- Step 2. Filter out stop-words based on selected language.
- Step 3. Calculate font size: Size = MinSize + (Count(w) - MinCount) / (MaxCount - MinCount) * (MaxSize - MinSize).
- Step 4. Place words using a spiral archimedean layout algorithm to prevent overlap.
