To ensure content fits within the printable area without truncation, we calculate the scaling factor $\alpha$. Let $W_{content}$ be the cumulative width of all columns in points, and $W_{page}$ be the physical paper width minus margins.

Wpage = Wpaper − (mL + mR)

The system determines if compression is necessary. If the content width exceeds the page width, the font size $F_{size}$ is adjusted by ratio $\alpha$.
