About
In many regions (Europe, Asia, South America), the standard voltage for outlets and appliances is 220V to 240V. This calculator is pre-optimized for these single-phase systems, reducing the need for repetitive inputs. It is particularly useful for estimating the load of household appliances or workshop tools on a circuit. To ensure accuracy, the tool allows you to select common appliance types (like motors or heaters) to automatically apply the correct Power Factor, which is often neglected in basic manual calculations.
Formulas
The formula assumes a standard single-phase AC system:
PkW = I × 220 × PF1000
The voltage constant (220) can be adjusted to 230 or 240 in the settings if needed.
